Spring Changes

The one certain thing about spring weather in the Rim Country is the fact that it will change -- going from near-summerlike days with temperatures near 80 degrees back to winterlike lows of 24.

These clouds rolled into the Rim Country earlier this week bringing winds between 40 and 50 knots on a sustained basis, according to National Weather Observer Anna Mae Deming.

And while Deming said she didn't get any precipitation from the storm, many a car was water-spotted by pollen-heavy drops.

The pollen count in the area has been approaching the top of the chart (12), reaching 11+ and 10+ marks, according to information provided to the Roundup by Dr. Peter Zonakis.
