Register by May 18 for adult coed sand volleyball league

The season begins June 4 for the coed sand volleyball league. This league is for anyone wanting to have some low-key fun in the sand. Gather your friends and family to play on your team of four. One female must be on the court at all times and all players must be at least 16 years of age. Registration takes place through May 18 and the fee is $60 per team. Games will be held at the Rumsey Park sand volleyball courts.

7D Progressive Barrel and Pole Bending series continues on Wednesday nights

Parks and Recreation will be sponsoring a Wednesday night barrel and pole bending series in May, June and July, which has already begun.

The books will open at 5:30 p.m., with competitions starting at 6:30 p.m. Entry fee is $5 per run. This is a progressive format, so there are no age groups. Awards will be presented July 25 and will be based on a point system. For more info call Charlene Hunt at 474-5242, ext. 260.

Youth Summer Recreation program begins in June

Register through May 18 for Session 1 and May 29 to June 22 for Session 2.

Children entering grades 3-8 can register for one or both sessions of the 2007 Summer Recreation Program, being offered this summer at the Rim Country Middle School. The Summer Recreation Program will be split into two age groups, led by certified teachers, and will incorporate fun physical and cultural activities, along with occasional field trips. Both sessions meet Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. to noon for three weeks. Session 1 --June 5 through 26; Session 2 -- July 7 through 24. The cost is $40 per session per child, which includes a T-shirt and covers the cost of required supplies and field trips, unless otherwise specified. Register your child today for an exciting, active and social way to spend part of the summer in Payson. Advance registration is required -- this is not a drop-in program. Space is limited, so don't forget to register early.

Summer Youth Tumbling registration ends May 25

Tumbling classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays in June.

Youth tumbling returns to Payson this summer for girls and boys ages 2 to 15. Classes will be tailored by age group.

Stop by the Parks and Recreation Office or www.paysonparks.com for more details on what skills each class will include. The cost is $20 per child and includes a tumbling T-shirt.
