Smoke Coming From Heber Area Fire

A sign over Highway 260 heading east into Star Valley warns motorists of a brush fire and low visibility due to smoke, 44 miles ahead.

There are two fires, totaling 40 acres, about a mile southwest of Camp Shadow Pines (near Heber) and a quarter mile from Highway 260.

"We have lots of crews and fire engines and bulldozers on it," said Susan Lee, acting fire management officer for the Apache Sitgreaves National Forest. "We put the warning up because people will see smoke for another day or so."
