Annie McIntyre McKinnon, 99, died May 15, 2007 in Payson. She was born in Greenock, Scotland on Feb. 22, 1908 to William and Agnes Hair.
Mrs. McKinnon grew up in Scotland and married Malcolm McKinnon in Greenock in 1938 and shortly thereafter, moved to England. She was a tailor by profession and loved to sew all types of garments and also enjoyed knitting. She was an accomplished tennis and badminton player and an outstanding lawn bowler. She was very involved in Scottish country dancing, Girl Scouts, her church and volunteer work. In her younger days, she traveled extensively throughout the world. After being widowed in 2000, McKinnon immigrated to the United States to live with her family in Payson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, brother, husband and son-in-law. She is survived by her daughter Diane Jackson of Payson, granddaughters Lisa Jackson and Tina Jackson of Payson, a niece and two nephews in Scotland.
A memorial celebration of her life will take place at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1000 N. Easy St. in Payson at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2007.
