Last weekend was full of activities surrounding the Gary Hardt Memorial Rodeo.
Payson was busy from the moment the Rodeo Queens arrived in town Friday morning, to the rodeo parade on Main Street Saturday, to the final events in the arena Saturday night.
On May 18, fiveodeo Queens met at the Payson Municipal Airport for a scenic flight over Rim Country. The flight was a joint effort of the Payson Pro-Rodeo Committee and the Aero Fair. It has been a tradition since 1999.
Visiting Rodeo Queens hailed from Arizona, Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico.
The 2007 Main Event rodeo parade was a tribute to three longtime rodeo committee members who died this past year. Al Ayers, Jim Barrett and Walt Prychodnik were honored by riderless horses being led along the parade route.
