The residents of Star Valley are invited to the first public meeting on the community's general plan next week.

The Star Valley Community Planning Team is developing the general plan, with the assistance of specialists from the Central Arizona Association of Governments.

The Public Input Meeting on the general plan will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 31 at the clubhouse/community center at the Lamplighter RV Resort, 3933 E. Highway 260.

Residents will learn what a general plan is and how it is a necessary tool for municipalities, said Peter Armenta, one of the CAAG facilitators.

Those attending will be invited to share their thoughts and observations, regarding the current state of the town and how they would like to see the community grow and develop.

This information will then be used to begin to formulate a town mission and vision.

Armenta said the goal of the meeting is to collect input to help the Town of Star Valley's Community Planning Team in drafting the general plan.

For more information, call Armenta at (800) 782-1445.
