Johnny Henry Snow Jr., 59, of Payson, died May 29, 2007 at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday June 1 at the First Assembly of God Church in Payson. Pastor Mark Henning will officiate.
Mr. Snow was born Dec. 28, 1947 in Lake Village, Ark. to Johnny Henry Snow Sr. and Betty Sue Funkhouser.
He joined the military at the age of 17 and served three tours in Vietnam, one tour in Korea, and was an instructor training soldiers during Desert Shield in 1992. He served 10 years active duty in the Army and retired after doing 12 years in the reserves, with 10 of those years as an artillery instructor. He received numerous awards including the Purple Heart.
He married Louise Hensley on Jan. 1, 1994, and eventually moved to Payson. He had many friends and loved working at Wal-Mart.
He is survived by his wife Louise, five sons and daughters-in-law; Scot and Barbara Snow of Sturgeon Bay, Wis.; Charles Arron Snow, Eureka Calif.; Edward and Jane Hensley Sturgeon Bay, Wis.; Tobias and Jackie Snow of Forestville, Wis.; Tyson and Dana Snow, Portland, Ore.; and two daughters and sons-in-law; Mindy and Ulus Jordan of Payson; and Torrie and Mike Spalink of Payson.
He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; Kyrie Snow, Matt, Tasha, and Nick LeMieux; Aaron Snow, Mystica, Ariana, Kyle, and Allison Hensley; Zachory and Nathaniel Snow; Mathius Snow; Gabby, Cody, and Emily Jordan; and Kattie and Korra Kamps.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
