Poker Run Raised $1,500 For Payson Supply Line

The ALR of Post 69 in Payson held its first Charity Event May 12. It was a "Poker Run" in which the proceeds were donated to the Payson Supply Line, which provides troop support by sending 35-pound "care packages" to our brave men and women stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

This ride drew riders from all over the state and raised approximately $1,500. Commemorative ride shirts are still available for $15 each (XL and L).

Special thanks go to Post 69 for providing food and kitchen help and members of the Ladies Auxiliary for helping with the activities the day of the event.

Donors included Karen T. McClanahan, The Buffalo Bar and Grill, The Rye Bar and Grill, Jake's Corner, Macky's Grill, Cardo's Pizza, East Verde Trading Company, American Legion Post 69 and Leadfoot Kustom Cycles.

The ALR of Post 60 would like to thank everyone who had anything to do with the success of the event, especially the members of ALR.

Ted Kosnik, Director ALR Post 69, Payson
