Jeanette "Lorraine" Kellam, 72, of Chino Valley, died Oct. 29 at her home. She was born Feb. 1, 1935 in Pine to Clyde and Ruth Hunsaker.
For the last 35 years she was a thoroughbred horse breeder and racer. She loved her horses and her dogs (Precious and Brutus).
Mrs. Kellam was always a caring and loving person who will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her stepdaughter, Joan Nassar of Cottonwood; sisters, Joyce Thatcher of Gilbert and Norma Thatcher of Delta, Utah; brothers, Clyde "Dude" Hunsaker, Lee Hunsaker, Harold Hunsaker and Melvin Hunsaker; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Joe I. Kellam; stepdaughter, Charlotte Dunagan; her parents and sister, Ruth Whittle.
A visitation will begin at noon, Saturday, Nov. 3 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Chino Valley. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m.
Burial will be at the Heritage Memorial Park Cemetery in Dewey.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be given in Lorraine's name to the YRMC Hospice, 3262 N. Windsong Road, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314.
