I want to thank Judy Baker, director of Mogollon Health Alliance, for the article in the paper explaining all about the need for a dialysis center here in Payson.
On behalf of my husband, and about 30 other people from the Payson area, I know the center is sorely needed.
Many of these people currently are going to the Valley two or three times a week for their treatment.
The new Payson facility will give us all several hours a week, eliminate gas costs, as well as reducing wear and tear on our vehicles.
Both caregivers and dialysis patients will have an improved quality of life.
Thank you also to The DeVita Company for checking out the possibility of opening the facility in Payson. Thanks too, to Harvey Pelowsky of Rim Country Health and Retirement for providing the space for the dialysis center.
Weekly, I stop at the Rim County facility, and check on progress of the center. Progress is coming along slowly, but it appears that the town inspectors, contractors and health certification people are all working together to have a year end or New Year's opening of the Payson Dialysis Center.
