Larry Baker, Russ Morris and Doug Bailey were second round flight winners in the Payson Men's Golf Association annual Low Net Turkey Shoot Tournament.
In the event, held Oct. 24 at Payson Golf Course, Baker won first-flight honors with a 69 and Morris claimed the second flight crown by carding a 67.
In the third flight, Bailey finished as top gun, with a 62.
Trailing Baker in the first flight were runner-up Gary Campbell and bronze medalist Terry Lindsey. Both finished at 69, but Campbell took the silver on a scorecard playoff.
In the second flight, Dick Harding's 67 was good enough for a second-place finish. With a 69, Gary Vaplon was third.
Bill Shedd (66) was runner-up in the third flight and Ed Kuhns (68) took third.
Closest-to-the-pin winners included John Waring (No. 2; 20 feet, 3 inches), Roger Poole (No. 17; 6 feet, 5 1/2 inches), Morris (No. 5; 4 feet, 2 inches), Baker (No. 8; 12 feet, 2 inches) and Campbell (No. 14; 6 feet, 1 1/2 inches).
In the first round of the three PMGA Turkey Shoot showdowns played Oct. 17 at PGC, Frank Szakal won the first flight, Poole the second and Kuhns the third.
The tournament wraps up next week and will be capped by the PMGA's annual award banquet, to be held No. 9 at the Mazatzal Casino.
