The design of Main Street in Payson will once again be a topic on the minds of many residents this week.
The Green Valley Redevelopment Area Committee, town of Payson and Phoenix-based developer chosen for the project, A Dye Design, are working in cooperation to enhance West Main Street from Highway 87 to Green Valley Park.
The three entities will present a workshop on Thursday, beginning at 8:15 a.m. and repeated again at 5:30 p.m. to discuss future plans.
Everyone is welcome to attend and public participation, input and questions are welcome.
The workshops will be held in the council chambers at the town hall building.
The council voted unanimously at an Aug. 27 special meeting to contract with A Dye Design in the amount of $54,000 for a schematic concept plan for a portion of Main Street near Bootleg Alley.
Former GVRA Chair Dick Wolfe said at that meeting the GVRA committee had worked with several developers and supported Dye for the project.
