Why do you teach? To help the students with autism in our school district to become as successful as possible academically, socially and personally, with comfort and, withs little stress and frustration as possible.
Personal motto / words of wisdom: "Never say never!"
Family: Children: Jackson, senior director and production manager at Fox 6 in San Diego; Maya, artist; Zane, living in Seattle; Aurora, student at PHS. All four children make me so proud to be their mom!
Pet peeve: People who place limits on those with any type of disability.
Favorite hobby or leisure activity: Gardening, crossword puzzles, reading, baking.
Person in history you'd most like to meet and why: Mahatma Ghandi. He was a perfect example of how peace and harmony can bring each of us happiness, success and finding our true purpose(s) in life.
Why Payson? Our family was looking for a small town in the mountains, where we wouldn't get buried under six feet of snow for six months! We did a good job choosing Payson.
In school, who was your favorite teacher and why? Miss Cole in Harrison, N.Y. She was dedicated to making each and every student feel special and to help us understand that everyone has a special talent or gift to share.
