Ivan Orr Kelly died Nov. 9, 2007. He was born Aug. 27, 1932 in Trinidad, Colo.

He attended Pueblo High School, where he excelled in athletics and was named Western State Wrestling Champion his senior year. After Pueblo, Mr. Kelly attended Greeley College and soon thereafter, entered the Air Force through the Reserve Officer Training Corp. He served with honor in Vietnam and retired as a major after 21 years of service.

After retiring, he relocated to Gilbert, and started a second career with the City of Tempe. He retired from the city and relocated to Payson, where he pursued his lifelong hobbies of hunting, fishing, bowling and cards.

Mr. Kelly was preceded in death by his first wife, Bernice and stepson, Donald Fulcher. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; his children, Laura A. Phillips Kelly (Ed) and Gordon L. Kelly; his brother Grover O. Kelly (Wilma), stepchildren Daniel Fulcher (Suzanne) and Theresa Campos (Adolph) and his mother-in-law, Peggy Porter.

A visitation is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, Nov. 16 at Messinger Payson Funeral Home, 302 W. Aero Drive. The funeral service will be the following day, at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 17 at Messinger Payson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Payson Humane Society or RTA Hospice & Palliative Care.
