Eighth-Grader Cherishes Certain Rights

Editor:

The Bill of Rights guarantees certain personal freedoms to me. The right to bear arms, freedom of religion, and the freedom of speech are the most important to me.

The right to bear arms, because I like to go hunting and also protect myself. I also like to just go out and shoot targets.

Freedom of religion, because you should be able to believe in God. Everybody should be allowed to worship when they want to and pray when they want to.

Freedom of speech, because you should have the right to protest.

The newspapers should have the right to report what they want. Also, the news reporters should have the right to report what is happening.

These three rights are important to me because this is a free country and if we didn't have free rights, we would live in a communist country.
