On Nov. 15, the Payson Town Council voted 6-0 to direct the legal department to work with the fire marshal to create an amendment to town code that would allow for domestic cooking appliances in small commercial enterprises.

The Red Elephant Bakery and whether or not it needed a $15,000 hood for minimal cooking and baking was at the center of the issue. Leoni Dobbins of the Red Elephant thanked the council for its help.
