Small-business owners are invited to participate in a morning of discussion and exploration of issues impacting small businesses from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29 at the Payson Public Library.
Topics include work force, renewable energy incentives, health insurance for small businesses and assistance programs provided by the Small Business Development Center and the Arizona Department of Commerce.
Melanie Starns, policy adviser to the governor on aging, and director of the Governor's Office on Aging, will talk about senior work force involvement and explain how small businesses can utilize seniors in the work place.
Jack Haenichen, energy technical adviser, Arizona Department of Commerce, will give a presentation about what small business owners can do to save on energy and take advantage of renewable energy programs.
Ron Nielsen, director, Gila Community College Small Business Development Center and Natascha Hebell Fernanado, Arizona Small Business Advocate, Arizona Department of Commerce, will give an overview about programs and assistance offered to small businesses.
A light breakfast will be served.
