Mollee Lee was the lone Lady Longhorn to earn honors when the Class 1A-3A All-State team was announced Sunday.
The 5-foot, 8-inch outside hitter received honorable mention accolades on an all-star team that was dominated by the Valley's parochial schools.
Earlier this year, Lee was named an All-East region first team player.
PHS coach Arnold Stonebrink lauded Lee as a team spark plug whose solid hitting and kills were key reasons for the Lady Horns success the past season.
Among those athletes selected all-state, only Blue Ridge's Lee Merrill was chosen first or second team. The senior Yellow Jacket was named a second team outside hitter.
On the six-player first team, Northwest Christian and Valley Christian each had two athletes named.
One of those, Kandiss Anderson of Northwest Christian, was also selected to the prestigious All-Arizona team. Anderson has accepted a volleyball scholarship to the University of Washington.
Joining Lee on the all-state honorable-mention team from the East were Round Valley's Cassidi Donaldson and Ashley Slade.
Parker's Marie Maya was named the Small School Coach of the year for leading her team to the Class 3A state championship.
