Small businesses are the focus of a workshop coming to Payson this week.
The Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce, Payson Regional Economic Development Corporation and Gila County Community College Small Business Development Center are co-hosting a workshop on Thursday from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Payson Public Library.
The workshop will feature presentations from Melanie Starns, a policy advisor for the governor, Jack Haenichen, an Arizona Department of Commerce energy adviser and Ron Nielsen, GCC small business development center director.
Starns will explain how small businesses can utilize the senior population in the workplace.
Haenichen will discuss renewable energy programs and how small business owners can save money and energy.
Nielsen, along with Natascha Hebell Fernando, a small business advocate with the Arizona Department of Commerce, will give a presentation about programs offered to help small businesses.
Chamber Manager John Stanton encouraged small business owners to attend.
"I would like to make sure that as many of our small businesses in our community get the opportunity to hear the information and speak out about their concerns," he said.
Everyone is invited to attend the workshop.
