Judy Baker of the Mogollon Health Alliance and Harvey Pelovsky of Rim Country Health & Retirement Community, take a look at the plans for the new Rim Country Dialysis Center at Rim Country Health.
The facility is ready and waiting for a certification inspection by the Arizona Department of Health. When it opens -- sometime in the next few weeks -- the center will have the capacity to care for up to 18 patients a day in its six dialysis stations. DaVita has worked with the MHA and Rim Country Health this past year to make the dialysis center a reality.
MHA has made a commitment to help provide $150,000.00 in funding for this project over the next five years. To achieve this goal, MHA is again hosting The Black & White Ball. Last year's ball brought in $35,000. The Black & White Ball will be Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008 at The Mazatzal Casino & Hotel Event Room, Hwy. 87, Mile Marker 251, Payson. If you cannot attend this fund-raiser, MHA and the many families in need of dialysis in our community will accept all donations with heartfelt gratitude.
Each dinner ticket purchased will also receive a ticket for our door prize: an exquisite 1/2 karat diamond ring donated by Payson Jewelers. You have to be present to win. There will also be awards for best-dressed couple and best dancers. For additional details, call MHA at (928) 472-2588. MHA is a nonprofit 501 (c) 3, Tax I.D. 86-0147128.
