Blue's Dog Walk Will Help Pine-Strawberry School, Humane Society


Calling all two-legged, 4-four-legged and kids of all ages. Come to the Pine Trailhead on Saturday Oct. 13 for the first annual Blue's Dog Walk.

This event is a 5K walk for dog owners and their pets. The event, sponsored by Blue's Gallery in Pine, begins at 8 a.m. with sign-up; the walk begins at 9 a.m.

The registration fee is $25 before the event; $30 the day of the event; $15 for kids. Participants will receive a T-shirt designed by Cori Richman, owner of Blue's Gallery, and a goody bag containing various dog items.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Pine/Strawberry School and the Payson Humane Society. The Payson Humane Society will be there with adoptable dogs. Interested dog walkers may also "borrow" a shelter dog for the walk.

This needs to be arranged with the shelter ahead of time by calling 474-5590.

Payson Humane Society will also offer micro-chipping to dog owners at the event. The cost of this pet ID service is $40.
