Former Dallas Cowboys Doug Cosbie, Doug Donley and Ron Fellows will be in Payson next week to help the Mazatzal Hotel & Casino raise funds for the Rim Country Optimist Club in the casino's first Celebrity Charity Poker Tournament Oct. 8.

The casino is hosting its first Celebrity Charity Poker Tournament to benefit the Rim Country Optimist Club.

The Optimists coordinate the community's Christmas toy and food drives to make the holidays special for area families in need.

The celebrities scheduled to participate in the Mazatzal Hotel & Casino's first Celebrity Charity Poker Tournament are former Dallas Cowboys Doug Cosbie, Doug Donley and Ron Fellows.

Rim Country poker masters will need $110 to buy into the game and have a chance at winning $200 for every Cowboy they knock out of the competition, plus 50 percent of the prize pool. The competition is limited to 27 players. Entries will be taken until all seats are filled.

The Rim Country Optimist Club could receive up to $9,000 from the event, according to casino marketing manager Terri Shelow.

The tournament will be played from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 8, with Cosbie, Donley and Fellows available for autographs from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
