Special Olympic Bowling Program Can Use Some Volunteers

All persons interested in participating in Payson's Special Olympic bowling program should visit Rim Country Lanes, 1109 N. Beeline, at 3 p.m. any upcoming Monday.

Practices are held regularly at that time.

There is no cost to participate in Special Olympics, but a completed medical/parent release form is required.

Anyone with a development disability, regardless of level of ability, is eligible for Special Olympics programs and sports, if they are at least eight years of age. There is no upper age limit.

Volunteers and coaches are always welcome and are needed to keep Payson's 12 SO programs active throughout the year.

To obtain a permit form for the bowling program, call Annie Spencer at (928) 595-3961 or Jane Bonn at (928) 472-6744.

To volunteer, call Becky Derwort at 474-9142.
