Three Payson residents were arrested Sunday on various drug charges, including selling marijuana.
Payson Police arrested Corey D. Clinton, 24, Jolene Chavez, 26, and Jose Ramirez Delgado Jr., 23, after searching the apartment they were in and allegedly finding drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Police said they responded to a domestic violence call in the early evening hours of Oct. 7 at 110 W. Airport Rd., where they discovered drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Administrative Assistant for Payson Police, Kim Becker said when officers entered the apartment, it was filled with smoke and a strong odor of burnt marijuana.
While questioning the occupants on the domestic violence call, officers noticed drug paraphernalia used for smoking marijuana in the apartment.
Two of the occupants allegedly admitted to smoking marijuana after being questioned by officers, Becker said.
A 21-month-old baby was also found residing in the apartment, she said.
The baby was removed by Child Protective Services and released to the custody of an adult family member of one of the suspects.
Clinton was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, use of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Chavez was arrested on charges of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to appear.
Delgado was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, use of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police confiscated one pound of marijuana and various drug paraphernalia during a search of the apartment.
All suspects were booked into the Gila County Jail in Payson.
