Robert Philip Cunningham Jr. died Friday, Oct. 5, 2007 after a long struggle with lung disease. Born April 4, 1937, the son of Vera Foote and Robert Philip Cunningham Sr., he was 70 years young.
Mr. Cunningham was a father, grandfather, and friend, but foremost in his life, he was a loving husband to his bride Eileen for over 21 years.
In his daily life, he had a passion for learning and educating. After four years service in the Air Force, he spent more than 30 years working as a high school industrial arts teacher and a vocational director in North Branford, Connecticut and Salem, New Hampshire. He gained much pleasure being a part of the Masons and the Order of the Eastern Star. He also loved to cook and spend time with friends, family and special neighbors.
He was survived by his loving wife Eileen, his sister June Walsh, his children Robert Philip Cunningham, III and Jennifer Jones, his stepchildren James Keough and Cynthia Springford, and his four beautiful grandchildren, Benjamin Jones, Kristin Cunningham, Andrew Jones and Robie Cunningham (Robert Philip Cunningham, IV).
