Payson Police To Hold Third Open Meeting, Traffic Laws Are The Topic

Payson Police will hold its third open public meeting Wednesday Oct. 24, at 6 p.m at the Payson Town Hall.

Executive assistant for the Payson Police department, Kim Becker said Chief Don Engler would once again be hosting the meeting in the council chambers, which will also be broadcast on cable channel four for community members unable to attend in person.

Becker said the focus of the meeting would be traffic complaints from the community. Payson Traffic Enforcement Officer Allen Dyer will be available to answer questions regarding traffic laws and general requirements.

Members of the community are encouraged to bring up any issue of concern at any of the police departments open meetings, not just those topics slated for discussion, Becker said.

She said there is no special reason for this third meeting which will focus on traffic complaints, it is just to offer general information regarding traffic laws in Payson and surrounding communities.

"We haven't had a spike in complaints or anything, it's just the normal ongoing process of people calling in with complaints about traffic in their neighborhoods, and Chief Engler just wants the community to know they can phone in complaints and we will follow up on them," Becker said.
