Payson's lack of a viable recycling plan will be a topic addressed by a new task force at Thursday night's council meeting.
The Task Force on Recycling Services, comprised of 10 volunteers, researched recycling options that would best suit the town's needs.
It compiled the information from surveys sent out to Payson residents.
The group will present its findings to the council and likely make a recommendation about the future of, and need for, a recycling program.
The council will decide the fate of a traffic-calming manual proposed by Town Engineer LaRon Garrett.
Garrett created the manual in efforts to provide a process for traffic-calming devices, such as speed tables or roundabouts, to be implemented on town streets.
The council will also discuss whether to enter into agreements with the Payson Senior Center for the disbursement of public purpose funds in the amount of $23,400.
