Sunday School resumes
Sunday School classes will begin at 10:15 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 9 at Rock of Ages Lutheran Church, 204 W. Airport Road in Payson. The upper-grade class will be studying "Faith Foundation," an exciting new series. The lower-grade class will study "Christ Light," a thrilling adventure in God's word. Beyond Limits Disability Ministry
Beyond Limits Disability Ministry will meet this month at Ponderosa Baptist Church, 1800 N. Beeline Highway in Payson from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 11. A delicious free dinner will be served promptly at 6 p.m., followed by lively music, warm fellowship and an inspirational program.
Participants must get their medical releases and money to Jennie Smith by the Sept. 11 deadline to be able to participate in an October day trip. Beyond Limits is an interdenominational Christian group for adults with developmental disabilities, age 18 and older. Women's weekly Bible study returns
The Payson Women's Community Bible Study on "The Acts of the Apostles" is resuming in September. The study involves small group discussions and teaching.
There will be a kickoff potluck brunch and overview of the study, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 13. The study continues Thursday mornings from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. through May 2008. The study book is $25. Childcare is available.

Good News Clubs at schools
The Children's Evangelical Fellowship, a nondenominational children's mission, is presenting a free after-school activity at all three Payson elementary schools and in Pine as well.
The Good News Club is an hour-long program providing children in the first through fifth grades with Bible study, a missionary story and games one day a week.
The program is at Frontier Elementary on Monday; Julia Randall Elementary on Tuesday; Pine Elementary Wednesdays; and Payson Elementary Fridays. For more details, call (928) 468-1240.
Pioneer Club at Ponderosa Baptist
The Ponderosa Baptist Church offers an after-school program through May 15, 2008.
The Pioneer Club meets at Ponderosa Baptist Church, 1800 N. Beeline.
Sessions are provided for both boys and girls: Grades 1-2 have Voyagers; Grades 3-4 have Pathfinders; and Grade 5 has Trailblazers.
Pioneer Club meets each Thursday when school is in session from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Children will enjoy crafts, games, songfest, activity badges and Bible badges. There are no registration fees. Charities benefit from partnership
Payson Habitat For Humanity, Payson Community Kids and Veterans Helping Veterans, Time Out Shelter, New Beginnings and Special Olympics will receive the proceeds from the St. Paul's Episcopal and Mount Cross Lutheran's "Marketplace" rummage sale.
The sale is from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, and Saturday, Sept. 7 and 8 at Mount Cross Lutheran, 601 Hwy. 260, Payson.
These six charities make a difference for the both the financially less fortunate and the disabled in Payson and the surrounding communities of Star Valley, Pine, Strawberry, Christopher Creek, Tonto Village and the smaller outlying communities.
By taking advantage of the Marketplace rummage sale, all Rim Country residents can help make the job of these charities easier.
Buddhist group takes break
