Many thanks to the Pro Rodeo Committee and all those contestants and spectators who were "Tough Enough to Wear Pink"t the Spring Rodeo again this year.
There were certainly a lot of you who were "tough enough" because the Committee made an even more generous donation than last year to assist our Reaching Out Breast Cancer Support Group in their mission of helping survivors of breast cancer in any way possible from having available wigs, prostheses, mastectomy bras, etc., to the even more important emotional support with a group of caring, sensitive women who "have been there" and understand completely the kinds of things that must be dealt with for the survivor and her family, as well.
Our group is open to any woman in the Rim Country who has been diagnosed with breast cancer. We meet the second Thursday of every month at Mount Cross Lutheran Church on Highway 260, just past the Safeway store at 12:30 p.m. o dues, no obligation, just an open door to help each other over the rough spots in dealing with the diagnosis and subsequent treatment.A phone call to 476-4298 or 468-0930 will put you in touch.
Thanks again to the Pro Rodeo Committee for their generosity to our community and in particular, to our Reaching Out Breast Cancer Support Group.
