The Landmark Restaurant and Bar has been around for a long time.
This is how it stands today. It has a fence surrounding in preparation for demolition.
According to the new owners, Gary and Cindy Weirlinger who live part-time here in Christopher Creek and part-time in Gilbert, they will be tearing off part of the building up to the fireplace that was in the restaurant.
I spoke with Gary and Cindy and they said that they would really like to open the bar end of the building sometime this summer.
Gary says they are thinking of maybe putting in a coffee shop for those people who want to sit by the creek and enjoy coffee and a Danish early in the morning.
There is a lot of work to do.
The Weirlingers are trying to decide what would be best for the area. They also want to offer some type of food, but not a full menu.
I will keep you posted as things start to develop on the property.

Candles on the cake
George Alhmann will be celebrating his
birthday on April 5, as will be Sally Mystrom.
Jean Clarkson and Eileen Kittock will be adding another candle to their crowded cake on March 7 (just kidding ladies)!
Margo (Holmes) Fish and Alice Simpson will be out partying on March 8.
My dear friend Doris Billings has another birthday to celebrate on April 9.
She has had a long winter recovering from knee surgery. I think the surgery was easier than the physical therapy.
Wishing all of you a happy birthday.
