Bobby Ski Lopatesky


Bobby Ski Lopatesky died Thursday April 3, 2008 on the job in Quemado, N.M.

Mr. Lopatesky was born Sept. 14, 1942 in Honolulu, Hawaii and was raised in Missoula, Mont.

He was a rodeo cowboy and rode bucking horses and team roped. After his rodeo years he went into the home building business and was a framing contractor in Weatherford, Texas for 20 years and worked as a carpenter for the rest of his life.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Leckie; his son and daughter-in-law Brandon and Stacy Lopatesky; mother, Betty Dahlstrom; sister and brother-in-law, Memory and Russ Hage; brother and sister-in-law Mike and Sammy Dahlstrom; five grandchildren, Athena Porter, Sydney Lopatesky, Cheyenne Lopatesky, Blake Porter and Morgan Lopatesky; nieces and nephews Kaysea Dahlstrom, Charlie Dahlstrom, Tony Hage and Kerri Hage.

Mr. Lopatesky was preceded in death by his father Chuck Dahlstrom, mother-in-law and father-in-law Leck and Jonnie Cline and niece Lecktra Brown.

A memorial service will be held at the Payson Elks Lodge at 1 p.m., Saturday April 12. The family invites their friends to join them for a potluck lunch following the memorial. It is requested there be no flowers.
