April - the very name of this month has a lilt to it. Bet you can't say it without smiling! Winsome April's blue skies, pleasant temperatures and gentle breezes coax leaves from winter-bare branches in the most delightful shades of green; she persuades birds to head north for another nesting season and convinces humans that it is time to plant something even though the threat of frost is not completely gone from our weather forecast.

If April's charms are not enough to get you in planting mode, a visit to any garden shop or department certainly will. What a treat to stroll amongst the greenery promising a season of beauty.
