A semi-truck was pulled over Tuesday afternoon after a report the driver had brandished a weapon.

Payson Police Chief Don Engler said the department had received a report after 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 8 that the trucker had brandished a weapon at a passenger in a vehicle on East Highway 260 near the Ford dealership in Star Valley.

The police stopped the semi near the intersections of 260 and 87 with a show of force, one witness reported.

Engler said the driver was very cooperative and allowed officers to search his truck.

"No weapon was found. No arrest was made and the driver went on his way," Engler said.
