The wall is coming and we need your help.

The replica of the Vietnam War Memorial will be set up in Green Valley Park on June 6, 7 and 8, to celebrate the heartbreaking sacrifice and heart mending devotion of those who served in Vietnam a generation ago.

Here's why it matters.

The Wall and the notice we take will comfort the still grieving families of the more than 50,000 who died -- and honor the service of those who survived.

They came back from that terrible conflict and got on with their lives. Today, they're police officers, firefighters, salesmen and store owners and just people -- and most don't talk about their service.

That's why we need your help.

We will be doing a series of articles leading up to the arrival of The Wall. So we want to hear the stories of Rim Country veterans who served.

So if you're willing to help us understand what it was like and what it meant -- or if you know someone who was there that we should talk to -- please send us word by e-mailing paleshire@payson.com.

If you would like to just let us know you were there with your name, rank and service that is fine, too. If you have a story or two to tell us about your experience, we would like to have that for use as part of a larger story, or for posting to our Web site. We also welcome any photos taken by service personnel from the Vietnam War so we can build an honor roll to be published.
