A Year Of Fridays

It's been one year since the formation of the popular First Friday Art & Antique Walk on Main Street, and it continues to grow each month. To help celebrate this one-year milestone, there will be lots of free music, refreshments and more.

A free shuttle bus will be available along Main Street, making a continuous loop between the Main Street Grille and Community Presbyterian Church throughout the evening. Parking is available at both locations, or you can use the on-street parking and catch the shuttle anywhere along the route.

The Main Street Grille is offering half-price appetizers and will have the KCMA Radio boom box. At the Community Presbyterian Church, you'll find chocolate delights, hot dogs, handmade products from around the world and live music.

Down the Street Art Gallery will have a free wine tasting sponsored by The Beverage House, and the KRIM Radio remote will be there along with a Humane Society booth.

At Bootleg Alley, you'll find a top fuel dragster on display and a live performance by a jazz musical group.

The Artists of the Rim Fine Art Gallery is offering special refreshments. Right next door at Git A Rope! you can enjoy even more live music.

Gasoline Alley is celebrating with a 10-percent storewide sale. You'll also find the Kiwanis Club there with hot dogs and brats, as well as the Soroptimist Club with See's Candy.

The event runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, May 2 and is free to attend.

On-street parking is available on the south side of Main Street between Westerly and the Oxbow.
