Jesse Clinton Kelso, 91, died Aug. 14, 2008 in Payson, Ariz. He was born Dec. 25, 1916 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Mr. Kelso was retired from Pima Mine, Tucson, Ariz. and had lived in Payson for 26 years. He served in the Navy from 1947 to 1953.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine; daughter, Karen Pike of Texas; step-son, Jim Carin; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by a sister, Lasca Machesney; sons, Edward Kelso and Mack Kelso.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 16 at Messinger Payson Funeral Home, 302 W. Aero Drive.
A visitation will be held at Messingers at 1 p.m. prior to the service.
There will also be a graveside service at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 18 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Ariz.
Donations may be made in Mr. Kelso's name to RTA Hospice, 511 S. Mud Springs Rd., Payson, Ariz. or the Payson Christian Church, 501 E. Rancho Rd., Payson, Ariz.
