Clifford Pudlas, 84, died Aug. 22, 2008. He was born in Arkansas and his family moved to, Ajo, Ariz. when he was 14.
He served with the 6th Combat Engineers during World War II. After discharge, he returned to Ajo managing and then owning Pudlas Auto Parts, after the death of his father.
Mr. Pudlas was a life member of the Moose Lodge, the Elks and the VFW where he held numerous positions, called Bingo, cooked and helped organize many functions.
He retired to the cool pines of Forest Lakes, which was a paradise for picnics, hunting and watching all the creatures of the forest and making more friends. He was eventually forced to move to Payson due to health.
He is survived by his wife Susie, son Jack, daughter-in-law, Virginia, grandson, John Paul, granddaughter Julie, great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Randy and Xavier and sisters, Ann and Mary, both of Ajo, plus many friends and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his first wife Peggy and son, John.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 27 at Mountain Meadows Memorial Park, 335 W. Round Valley Road.
