New Heating And Cooling Repair Company A Breath Of Fresh Air

Repair company starts over in Rim Country

Owner of Fresh Breeze Heating and Cooling, Tate Wanless, didn’t move to Payson to get rich quick and scam people with costly repairs.

“I’m here to help people,” Wanless said. “I never charge churches or widows labor for my work.”

Wanless uprooted his successful heating and cooling business in Phoenix that he worked 18 years on and has started over in Rim Country.

“Like everyone in Payson, we grew tired of the pollution, city attitude and the hot summers,” Wanless said. “So I sold my business and in September of 2008 we moved up here to start over in a town that we fit in better.”

Wanless got involved in heating and cooling repair because he said he enjoys helping people and repairing mechanical equipment.

He started his first business after graduating from the Refrigeration School, Inc. in Phoenix in 1990.

Today, he runs the business by himself with the help of his 18-year-old son. Wanless said his son is interested in taking over the family business one day, but like most 18-year-olds, he hasn’t fully made up his mind yet.

Wanless grew up in a small town in Wisconsin and moved to Arizona in 1986.

Wanless said he owns rental property in the Valley and enjoys collecting antique tractors.

“I have to be busy doing something,” Wanless said.
