Payson Is A Good Place To Live

With all of the crisis going on in the world and nation, it is sometimes refreshing to look at all the really positive things that we have at the local level. I find this easy to do because I live in Payson.

Just a few of the things I like about this high country little town: great weather all year, abundance of well located and maintained parks, including the much used off-leash dog park. Schools appear to be high standard including the junior college.

Good and diversified shopping facilities, high quality, wide range of restaurants. A very professional, well-trained and personable fire department and EMTs.

Good medical facilities including the very fine and well-staffed hospital. Large number of local and diversified clubs. Payson library is one of the finest and staffed with knowledgeable and helpful personnel.

I am sure there are a lot more perks, but just wanted to mention a few, and of course a great newspaper and radio station that are informative and timely. Let’s not forget the water reclamation system and the resulting lakes that are a model for all.

Of course, the friendliness of a small town and service organizations that do so much for the people who need some assistance. Just has to be a good place to enjoy the many amenities and observe the world.
