Contestants are needed for the Feb. 21 Lip Sync Contest in the Payson High School auditorium.
The contest will be open to all high school students from Payson and surrounding communities, including home-schooled students. Support to entrants will be provided as needed.
The Kiwanis, Payson High School Drama Club, Rim Country Optimists and Rotary are working cooperatively to sponsor this event. All proceeds will be used to provide scholarships for continuing education. In addition to the event, there will be a silent auction and a 50-50 raffle.
Donations of silent auction items and donations in general for scholarships are welcomed. There will be a large variety of items in the auction and there will be items for all ages.
The Lip Sync Contest rules may be picked up at Payson Community Christian School, Payson Center for Success, Payson High School, (Drama Club, STUGO, Main Office) and Payson Education Center. Prizes will be gift cards totaling $500 for first place, $300 for second, and $200 for third. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m.

• All groups must submit a video of your performance to Thomas in the Drama Club no later than Jan. 15, 2009. Questions regarding the video should be directed to Thomas in the Drama Club.
Improper language, gestures and clothing will not be tolerated, and your group will be disqualified.
• Once your video has been approved, you will be notified.
• The first 10 groups chosen and approved will qualify for the contest, with two alternate groups also selected.
• Choose an appropriate name for your group.
