Members of the Payson High School basketball teams coached by Ted Pettet from 1958 through 1962 are invited to attend a special reunion ceremony at Payson High during halftime of the Tuesday, Dec. 16 game between Payson and Sedona.
The ceremony will commemorate Pettet’s 50 years in the Rim Country.
“We played in the old rock building gym and never had a losing season,” Pettet said.
Additionally, although Payson played as a Class C school in those days, it petitioned and won the opportunity to play the much larger Class B schools.
