How do people preserve the memories of events in their life? One method is through putting together a scrapbook. Brenda Martell is teaching a new scrapbooking class this spring at Gila County Community College.
In this class the student is introduced to the methods and techniques of modern scrapbooking. Students learn how to develop a theme, create page-quality layouts, select the correct paper, crop photos, journal, use stamps, practice embossing methods, generate computer images, and use text and templates. Individuals will be able to take cherished photos and items to create a pictorial history to be preserved for posterity.
Art 153 Scrapbooking is on Thursdays 6 p.m. to 7:50 p.m. starting Jan. 7.
