- The parents of Julia Randall second-graders helped the students glop green icing onto ice cream cones, and then dab the cones in sprinkles Thursday to create Christmas trees. Parents helped their children place the cones in plastic sandwich bags before moving on to create other crafts at the holiday party.

- Last week’s Tuesday Roundup contained an article by Ray Pugel suggesting that the growing percentage of gray hairs — retirees — in Payson has a negative effect on the demographics and future economic growth of Payson.

- Wes Suhr’s reference of our deplorable water company’s condition as a “castle” is a good example of the exaggerations being thrown around. The claim that spending $300,000 of taxpayer money would solve our water situation is one of them. If the K2 is such a great deal, why does BUI need our money, while testifying under oath it is too much of a “risk” for BUI to take?

- As I drive back and forth to meetings, I notice that the new construction on Main Street is really taking shape. The Payson Physical Therapy building and the Hinshaw & Associates buildings are a real boost to the area. The addition of “Reruns,” across the street, also is a sign that Main Street is still alive and kicking.
