Howard E. Anderson was born in 1923 in Moline, Ill.
He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, where he served as a tailgunner.
He moved from Chicago, Ill. to Arizona in 1954 and started a career with Garrett that lasted 30 years.
In 1984, Howard retired from Garrett and moved to Young.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Anderson, his son Howard E. Anderson Jr. and his daughter Cindy Ruiz. He is also survived by his son-in-law David Ruiz and five grandchildren, Michael, Jeff and Jimmy Canez and Chris and Lisa Anderson, as well as eight great-grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service at the Community Center in Young from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 9.
