Richard W. Trimble, 90, of Strawberry, Ariz. died Feb. 8, 2008. He was born in Urbana, Ill., served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and moved to Phoenix in 1954. He leaves behind a legacy as family patriarch, community leader and caregiver. His generosity, love of family and traditions will always be remembered.

He is survived by his son Rich (Sherry), daughter Barbara (Tim) Dietz, grandchildren Tracy (Mark) DeBenedetto, Dawn (Andy) Johnson, Michael Dietz, Brian (Juliette) Dietz, great-grandchildren, Brennan, Regan, Tarryn DeBenedetto, Cami, Dylan, Jake, Nash Johnson and Kayla Dietz and sister Liz (Farrel) Rasner and many cousins and great-cousins that loved him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Myla; and his great-granddaughter, Brecken Myla.

A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 17 at Green Acres, Scottsdale, Ariz. Memorial contributions are suggested to Highlands Church building fund, 17800 N. Perimeter Dr., Scottsdale, Ariz. or Hospice of the Valley.
