Valley Road in Star Valley is set for improvement.
At its Feb. 12 meeting, the Star Valley Town Council directed the staff to seek bids for a low-water concrete crossing and double chip sealing on 1,901 feet of the road.
Additionally, the council approved going to bid on similar improvements for Sprague and Moonlight.
The improvements will include grading, as well as chip sealing, plus low water concrete crossings.
Approximately 10,167 linear feet of current dirt and deteriorating chipped roads are scheduled for work over this year and next.
The roads on the list for improvements include Haught Road, Quail Hollow, Hillside Drive, Orion Drive, Mars Lane, Milky Way and Starlight, as well as Valley, Sprague and Moonlight. No work will be started until a sustained period of good weather is available.
The cost will be approximately $71,500 for chip seals and up to $70,000 for each of the low-water crossings. The money is from the Highway User Revenue Fund.
