Applications are being accepted for APS-sponsored scholarships at Arizona State University and ASU West for the 2008-2009 school year.
To be eligible, applicants must have at least a 3.0 cumulative grade-point average, be an Arizona resident, be enrolled in at least nine credit hours per semester and have financial need.
For students attending ASU, there are 10 scholarships of up to $2,000 each. The application deadline is 4 p.m., March 1.
Applicants must be a high school senior or an ASU student studying engineering, business, information technology, education or nursing.
Students can apply electronically using the ASU General Scholarship application that can be found at http://www.asu.edu
/fa/scholarships/general.html. In addition, an APS cover sheet, accessed by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org, must be completed and returned to ASU to complete the application process.
The amount and number of ASU West scholarships will be determined by the endowment payout to be announced in July. The application deadline is 4 p.m., March 1. Applicants must be a high school senior or an ASU West student studying business or teaching. Students can apply electronically at two sites:
