Award-Winning Singer Will Perform Jan. 11 At Church


Award-winning Christian recording artist Wade Hammond will be in concert at 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 11 at the First Southern Baptist Church of Payson.

As a child, he spent many hours listening to a variety of music. Music has always been a very special part of his life. So much so that he even started writing songs at the age of 14.

He shares his faith in Jesus Christ both musically and speaking throughout the United States and Canada.

He was born and raised in Birmingham, Ala. He and his wife, Kathy, live in Hoover, Ala.

Kathy not only travels with Wade but she also shares her testimony of how God delivered her from depression in 1996 and how she relies on the Lord for her daily strength as she lives with multiple sclerosis.

Hammond is a member of the BMI Songwriters Association. His music can be heard internationally on Christian radio stations and it reaches millions of people everyday.

He sings a variety of music: praise and worship, inspirational, hymns, gospel and original songs written by him.

His songs reaches all age groups, no one is left out. The stories that he shares will make you laugh, cry and will touch your heart.
