Geraldine B. Blankenship (Gerri) died Jan. 6, 2008. She was born Dec. 9, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio.
She married Leo Blankenship on Sept. 17, 1960 in Cleveland, Ohio. They moved to California in the early 1970s with their two children and lived there until 1988. While in California, they had one more child.
In 1988 they moved to West Virginia and then Ohio.
Mrs. Blankenship held many different jobs during these times, but mostly worked for Goodwill Industries. She enjoyed working for Goodwill and eventually retired.
After her husband's death, she moved for a brief time to Oklahoma and then to her final home in Payson. She lived in Payson with her sisters. The three of them enjoyed spending time together, visiting family and traveling.
She is survived by one sister, Irene Fleegle of Payson; daughter, Annette Schmunk of Kaw City, Okla.; sons, David Blankenship of Choctaw, Okla. and Aaron Blankenship of Bedford, Ohio; three grandchildren, Brittany, Andrea and Jarod Blankenship, all of Choctaw, Okla.; one son-in law, Dennis Schmunk of Kaw City, Okla. and one daughter-in-law, Michelle Blankenship of Choctaw, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Swihart; mother, Florence Swihart; three sisters; and husband, Leo Blankenship.
