Jack Uburtis died Dec. 15, 2007 at RTA Hospice in Payson. He was born Aug. 8, 1938 in Brockton, Mass.
He owned his own business until his retirement in 2005. That is when he and his wife moved to Payson.
While in California, he loved to golf and fish. He also fished in Payson at the Green Valley Park lake.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, "Cookie" Uburtis; his children, Pamela Ethridge (David) and their children, Amy and Katie, of Middleboro, Mass. and John Uburtis Jr. (Melanie) and their children, Jessica and Natalie, of California; brother, Edward (Bev) Uburtis; and sister, Rose Anderson. He also had three stepchildren, Richard Holte (Conni) of Kansas, Terri Holte (Vanessa, Kristin, Rachelle and Karina) and Anthony Guerriero (Donna) and their daughter, Jade. He also had many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Joseph and Rose Madeline Uburtis.
His ashes are to be spread in California and New Hampshire.
A celebration of life will be held in California at a later date.
